COMANCHE MAIN STREET:
The 4-Point Approach

The key to realizing the Comanche Main Street Vision is to direct and focus energies of all interested parties on economic revitalization that preserves Comanche County’s heritage. The Main Street program is structured to provide a committee of active volunteers “working as a unit to pursue” focused goals, concentrating on the four-point approach of organization, promotion, design, and economic restructuring.

  • Organization - Preserving the history of the central business district and community assets by building working relationships between public and private entities.

  • Promotion - Marketing the district’s unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses, and visitors through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events, and marketing campaigns carried out by local volunteers.

  • Design - Capitalizing the best assets of our community, creating an inviting atmosphere through window displays, parking areas, signs, streetlights, and landscapes.

  • Economic Restructuring - Finding a new purpose for Comanche-based enterprises by assisting businesses to expand, recruit new, and to assist in converting unused space into productive properties.
