Architectural Assistance
Historical architectural assistance is available for building and property owners within the Comanche Main Street Central Business District. Main Street staff will coordinate an on-site visit with the State architects from Austin to assess your façade condition, offering appropriate suggestions for historical renovation and rehabilitation. Other state services available include structural assessment, marketing, merchandising and product display.
Low Interest Loan Program
American State Bank, Citibank, Texas, and Comanche National Bank offer low interest loan programs for façade improvements to qualifying Main Street merchants and building owners.
Sign Incentive Grant Fund
Upon approval from the Main Street Design Committee, building and business owners within the Main Street District are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Main Street Sign Grant Program. Comanche Main Street will reimburse one-half of the cost (up to $250) for a new Main Street friendly and appropriate signage.
Product Discounts
Various business owners within the Comanche community and the Main Street District will offer discounts on materials and products purchased for renovation, rehabilitation, or new construction projects.
Tax Abatement
In conjunction with the City of Comanche, Comanche Main Street offers a tiered, five-year property tax abatement for exterior and interior improvements that enhance property values within the Main Street District. Building owners must meet a minimum threshold of capital investment dollars and new jobs created to be eligible for abatement consideration.
